Yjordan Maldonado allowed one hit, walked two and struck out 12 in a complete-game performance for South Broward in its 9-0 win over Hollywood Hills on Monday. Sal Zaremba (two runs, RBI, walk), Antonio Schembari (two runs, RBI) and Manny Lebon (run, RBI, walk) had hits for the Bulldogs (11-9). Ryan Mendez had the hit for the Spartans (0-12).

Phil Quinn struck out six and allowed five hits to lead Coral Springs to a 6-1 win over Deerfield Beach in a 9A-11 game. Austin Smith went 1-for-1 with two RBIs for the Colts (14-5, 4-4), who have won seven in a row.
