St. Thomas Wins Fifth Straight District Championship

James Lochrie and Caden Blanchard combined for a five-inning no-hitter to lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a 15-0 victory in the 8A-14 championship Thursday night, giving the Raiders their fifth consecutive district title.

Nick Vera and Earl Semper both hit home runs, and Vera piled up five RBIs on a 2-for-2 performance. Isaiah Perry scored three times and had two hits, Andres Antonini went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs and Jake Buxbaum contributed a pair of double for the Raiders (20-5), who will host Coral Glades in the opening round of the regional playoffs.
