Sixth season as Varsity Head Coach at CCA. Overall Record at CCA 87-45-2. Played high school ball at Westminster Christian in Miami. All Conference selection for Florida International University in the first year FIU appeared in NCAA post season play. Drafted in 1991 by the San Diego Padres. Played four years of professioinal baseball while completing a degree Business Administration at the University of Miami. During his pro career, Moose played for two future Major League managers, Dave Trembly and Tom Treblehorn. Prior to arriving at CCA, Mucerino made three coaching stops at NCAA schools; The Citadel, College of Charleston and Loyola University in New Orleans, and was head coach at Westminster Academy (FTL). "Moose" was instrumental in developing future MLB players Dallas McPherson and current New York Yankee outfielder Brett Gardner. Former players Luke Jackson (TX), Michael Taylor (WAS), Matt Den Dekker (NYM) and Preston Gainey (MIL) playing pro ball today. |
