span>Coach Ambros enters his 2nd year at the helm of the Bobcats baseball program in 2013, 2012 was a record breaking season for the Bobcats baseball program as Coach Ambros guiding the Bobcats to team record 20 win season and taking them further than any other team in school history, to Regional Finals in 2012. Coach Ambros returned to West Broward High School as their Head Coach 2011, after serving as Assistant Coach at WBHS from the 2008 Inaugural Year until 2010. Previous to West Broward Coach Ambros was the Asst. Head Coach and JV Head Coach at Chaminade-Madonna College Prep. in Hollywood, Florida from 2003- 2008, prior to his stay at Chaminade, Coach Ambros was the Head Varsity Coach at Hallandale High school, where he lead the Chargers to a District Runner-up title in 2003 and their 1st ever Regional Playoff appearance. Current Career Record is 47-34 COACHING EXPERIENCE: 2011- WEST BROWARD HIGH SCHOOL 2008 - 2010 WEST BROWARD HIGH SCHOOL 2003 - 2008 CHAMINADE-MADONNA PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL 1999- 2003 HALLANDALE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Coach Ambros passion for baseball runs deeper than just the High School level as he has coached at various S. Florida travel & youth baseball programs. Coach Ambros is also part of the S. Florida Elite Squad Organization. · # 1 Nationally Ranked 16 & Under team in the Country in 2011 · # 1 Nationally Ranked 17 & Under team in the Country in 2012 after winning the Perfect Game World Series in Arizona. · In the Summer of 2011 his 16 & Under team went 41-7-1. Winning 4 Tournaments including the, · WWBA 16 & Under Championship in East Cobb, Georgia · 2011 Junior Olympics in Jupiter, Florida. · Coach Ambros is part of Back to Back National Champions in 2011 and 2012 and the # 1 Ranked team in country two years in a row with the S. Florida Elite Squad Organization. Coach Ambros resides in Pembroke Pines with his wife Elena. His son Kyle (24) lives in Hollywood and his son Troy (21) lives in Pittsburgh, PA, where he plays college baseball at Point Park University. |
