In college, he played for Louisiana State University (LSU) and was part of two College World Series teams coached by Hall of Famer Skip Bertman. He finished his college playing career at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and in 1990 was named a Pre-Season All-America by ESPN. In high school, Stofsky also played wide receiver and defensive back in football, but it was as a punter and kicker where he made his mark, earning All-State and honorable mention All-America honors. Open year-round, BBA’s areas of instruction include hitting, fielding, pitching and base running, but their ultimate goal is to make a difference in the life of a player. BBA helps players improve their skills, teaches them to respect the game and makes sure they have fun. Their programs are perfect for the beginner as well as the high-level competitive player. BBA also operates two-lighted fields and Hal’s Power Alley, a 4,000 square foot, covered hitting facility with three batting cages, pitching machines and indoor mounds. Stofsky is also President of Cooper City Optimist Club (CCO), a youth sports organization that runs seven different sports and has over 5,000 annual registrations.
