The Booster Club Fundraising Meeting at the All-Star Game
The Booster Club Fundraising Meeting (RSVP using the form at the bottom of this page.)
We would like to invite any member of any Booster Club in Broward County to a meeting we will be holding on Saturday, June 4th, the day of the All-Star Game. The meeting will begin promptly at 5:30 pm in the clubhouse at Westminster Academy (where the game will be held.)
At the meeting we will discuss our plans on how we can help each team in the county dramatically increase fundraising money for their program. We will also be providing free snacks and drinks to those who attend.
The goal of this site, in the most general sense, is to help ALL high school baseball programs improve their programs. We had the following three-prong approach to accomplishing this goal:
1. Give all teams and all players as equal news coverage as we possibly could - we track how many articles we write on every team and we strive to keep those numbers generally the same for all teams.
2. Provide coaches with statistic tracking tools they need - for free. Many programs already had 'stats' programs, but many programs did not. Most could not afford the cost of other software programs or were unfamiliar with what was out there. Providing these basic statistical tools for free was our idea of how to put all programs in the County on the same playing field.
3. Help programs earn money so they can afford the not-so-intangible things they need to get better, such as entrance money for tournaments, new uniforms, practice jersey's, cleats, field equipment, or anything else they feel they need to help improve their program.
We have accomplished our first two goals for the season. Now it is time to focus on the third one, which is where the booster clubs come in.
If your team could use a few thousands extra dollars per season, be sure to attend. We have a lot of really great ideas!
