St. Thomas became one of the first teams to hand out uniforms on Thursday, and that indicates that the first pitch of the season for Broward teams is just around the corner.

The weather has been nothing short of perfect for the early part of the winter, so it came as no surprise that on the first day when coaches and players could finally hit the field, the skies opened up in South Florida.

The week of tryouts is always a hectic one for coaches, players, and parents. While many of the players and coaches have gone through a fall season and a workout program, not many have endured what the actual season will bring starting with tryouts on Monday.
