Pine Crest may not have gone as far as they wanted to this post-season, but they still had an exceptional year, led by District 14-3A Player of the Year Michael Pierson.
Flanagan’s Mike Melendez’ arm and bat helped Flanagan to the regional finals this season, and earned Melendez the District 12-6A Player of the Year award.
Coral Springs center-fielder Lewis Brinson is the District 10-6A Player of the Year, leading one of the most talented All-District teams in Broward County this season.
In one of the two inter-county districts for Broward teams, University, Somerset Academy, and Chaminade Madonna, all placed players on 15-3A All-District team.
Jason Hepple was one of the best players in Broward County this season, which is why Hepple easily won the District 14-1A Player of the Year, hitting .581 for the Knights.
Tyler Henning led McArthur to a District 11-6A title with a 7-2 record. The Mavericks ace had a stellar senior season that has now won him our District Player of the Year honor.
George Gugino was the ultimate five-tool player for Nova this season, and those tools led him to becoming the District 16-5A Player of the Year.
Kyle Pitts has been Coral Springs Christian’s three-hole hitter for four years, and his success this year has earned him the District 14-2A Player of the Year honor.
