Brandon Kaminer earned the victory as Douglas stayed perfect in 9A-11, defeating Monarch 6-0 on Friday to win their eighth in a row. The Eagles (10-1) have given up a combined six runs and scored 56 on their torrid pace.

In another 9A-11 game, Taravella edged Coral Springs 4-3 as the Trojans bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to Douglas.

Shane McGrann went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs for Coral Springs Charter in its 13-12 win over Pine Crest in a 5A-14 game. Charter is on a two-game winning streak after starting the season 0-6. Pine Crest is 5-5.
