Best feeling baseball ever gave me: The sensation and rush of winning a National Championship, and watching players I’ve coached get drafted or sign college baseball scholarships.

Worst feeling baseball ever gave me: When parents transfer kids to other schools taking the easy way out.

Biggest mistake I have made as a coach: In 1999, calling for a change-up that was hit for a homerun in the state championship game, which we lost 1-0.

I’ll retire when: Baseball is not fun anymore.
