Coral Springs continued their recent dominance of rival Taravella Friday night with a 9-3 win that guaranteed the Colts no less than a two seed in the District 10-6A tournament.

The Douglas Eagles played their worst game of the season, committing seven errors, but somehow still escaped with a 7-6 win over Taravella on Thursday afternoon.

Coral Springs kept their perfect district record intact Tuesday evening with a 10-3 win over crosstown rival Taravella. The Colts improved to 4-1 on the season with the win.
Douglas’ Matt Davis threw a no-hitter against Coconut Creek and Cypress Bay Head Coach Mike White won his 200th game, highlighting action in Broward Thursday.

Western manufactured two runs to get their first win of the season. Quintana had both rbi’s and starting pitcher Fellerman earned the victory.
The University Suns closed their preseason on Friday with a dominating performance over the Taravella Trojans. The Suns defeated the Trojans 12-0 in six innings.

The 2011 high school baseball season began on Monday, and for South Broward, it turned out to be a successful debut.

Defending 6A state champion Flanagan, district 10-6A champs Coral Springs, and district 11-6A champion South Broward, will take the field today for preseason games.
