The BCAA-imposed limit on the number of games its teams can play is continuing to hurt player development and put teams at a disadvantage.

In one of the two inter-county districts for Broward teams, University, Somerset Academy, and Chaminade Madonna, all placed players on 15-3A All-District team.

University used a five run sixth inning to stun Coral Springs in the championship game of the Colts First Pitch Classic Thursday night. The Suns won the title game 5-4.

University started off the season on a high note by winning the opener of the Colts First Pitch Classic 6-3 over Fort Lauderdale on Monday evening.
The University Suns closed their preseason on Friday with a dominating performance over the Taravella Trojans. The Suns defeated the Trojans 12-0 in six innings.

Coral Glades opened their 2011 season with a 5-4 victory over University on Tuesday. The Jaguars used timely hitting and solid relief to win the preseason game.
