North Broward Prep advanced to the state final four this season for the first time in school history. The majority of the workload on the mound went to senior Jose Lazaro.

The Eagles ace posted a 7-0 record, with 101 strikeouts. Jose also was the winning pitcher in the two games that got North Broward Prep to the state semi-finals.

In the regional semi-finals, Lazaro beat rival American Heritage, and in the regional final, the senior defeated Gulliver Prep.
